Working with the students in Mind Games was a good experience. It was a interesting to see young minds engaged in solving problems and working together as a team. The students were fun. The principal of the school was the Mind Games coach. She worked very hard with the students and provided yummy snacks for them to munch on once practice was over. To see a principal taking on the responsibilities of being a Mind Game Coach was really impressive. She looked at me, and said “No one else wanted to do it.” I thought she totally rocked!! The only thing I would change is to make sure I had another staff member that was willing to coach or assist in Mind Games. I would find teachers that had the strength to support and challenge the team. Building future leaders is an important aspect of being a principal.
