I absolutely love teaching abroad and using the skills and resources from the states to provide professional development to teachers in the Middle East. I do believe that its all about a growth mindset when teaching students and teachers to try new things in the classroom. One thing I find valuable is when the leaders/administration team allow the teachers to be themselves. Create as they want. Believe in their teaching abilities, just as someone believed in them. Teachers can have fun teaching and learning just as much as their students. Allow them to learn and make mistakes together, then problem-solve then celebrate their success.
